Water Resources Department - College of Environment and Natural Resources
The main tasks of the Department of Water Resources include:
Training scientific and technical personnel in the field of Water Supply and Drainage Engineering at the undergraduate level, and in the specialties of Climate Change and Management of the Delta region at the postgraduate level.
Conducting basic and applied research as well as technology transfer in various areas, including (i) environmental protection planning and sustainable use of natural resources, (ii) community-based management of the environment and natural resources, (iii) strategic environmental assessment and environmental impact assessment, and (iv) application of mathematical models (HEC-RAS, ISIS, Mike), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and remote sensing in environmental and natural resource management aimed at sustainable development in the Mekong Delta region.
